Supporting charities and churches during the outbreak

Like many businesses, charities have seen income streams reduce due to the Coronavirus restrictions: please think about how you can go on supporting them.

Churches are no different. We continue to receive Standing Order payments, but a lot of giving comes in the form of cash at services, which have been severly reduced this year; or through fundraising events, most of which have had to be cancelled. Even when our buildings are not in use, there are still costs to meet. Church treasurers will be able to advise about ways to give, or see p17 of May 2020 Outlook magazine. The following parishes have on-line giving pages:

Great Yarmouth Foodbank will be experiencing extra demand under challenging conditions: thank you if you are able to continue to give food through the usual channels.
It's also possible to give money: the Rector has the address of the Foodbank treasurer (cheques payable "Great Yarmouth Foodbank Plus") or his e-mail address if you want to arrange a direct payment.
Non-perishable food and toiletries can be left in the lobby at Acle Methodist Church from 10-11am on Thursdays for use by the Acle Resilience Team.
