Supporting charities and churches during the outbreak

Like many businesses, charities have seen income streams drying up due to the Coronavirus restrictions: please think about how you can go on supporting them.

Churches are no different. We continue to receive Standing Order payments, but a lot of giving comes in the form of cash at services, which cannot happen at the moment. While our buildings are not in use, there are still insurance and parish share payments to make (the Diocese will have cashflow problems if we don't). Some will be saving up their cash donations in order to give once the restrictions ease - if so, thank you. Church treasurers will be able to advise about alternatives, or see p17 of May 2020 Outlook magazine. The following parishes have on-line giving pages:

Great Yarmouth Foodbank will be experiencing extra demand under challenging conditions: thank you if you are able to continue to give food through the usual channels - and now at Reedham's Humpty Dumpty Brewery Shop.
It's also possible to give money: the Rector has the address of the Foodbank treasurer (cheques payable "Great Yarmouth Foodbank Plus") or his e-mail address if you want to arrange a direct payment.
Non-perishable food and toiletries can be left in the lobby at Acle Methodist Church from 10-11am on Thursdays for use by the Acle Resilience Team.
