Sunday 11 August 2024: Teddy Bear Parachute & Zip-line day
This was our 6th “Parachute” Day, and was the best so far! The conditions were perfect – super sunny and the gentlest of breezes – and around 175 bears, superheroes and cherished toys parachuted from the top of the church tower or whizzed down the zip-line, all landing safely back on earth! A huge thank you to everyone who helped on the day; for the donations from the village, and also from so many wonderful businesses in and around the area; and the biggest thank you to everyone who came and joined in the fun.
Our thanks also to the BBC's David Clayton, who did a fantastic job once again.
We all had such a terrific day – raising an amazing £1300 – and we'll be doing it all again in August 2025! If you'd like to come and help, you'll be welcomed into the “Teddy Gang”!
